Cleric Guide
![]() |
Realm: Albion
Starting Class: Acolyte
Guild: Church Of Albion
Recommended Starting Options: Hmm tough one this, depends on your play style. If you want to group and sit at the back and heal go Briton, if you want to be more physical go highlander, due to their high constitution, strength. Piety is the same for all.
Clerics are one of two primary healing classes of Albion, the other being the friar. The difference with the cleric is that they are not as reliant on melee combat like the friars. Clerics although slightly weaker in melee combat, they have better protection (Chain mail at level 20 and small shields ability). Clerics get Direct Damage spells in the form of 'smites' which are handy for taking some damage off before the monster gets to you (handy for pulling too), I was surprised at how much damage they actually do, quite impressive. However, you will need to make the choice whether you want to be total group support (a healer/buffer) or a mix between the two, or go more dedicated with smites and offensive ability.

Abilities at Level 5 Specializations at Level 5
Clerics make great healers, they can resurrect players and heal and group heal for lots of points, they are the ultimate support character with their buffs and so you probably wont ever have a problem getting in a group with this character, with your heals the group can fight monsters much higher level than usual.

Ok so clerics aren't going to be tanking very much, they can still solo though, but their best place is to be standing back in a big group to heal the tanks and mages fighting a really hard monster. They are viable as a solo class like any other, and their healing abilities help you get your hp back without having to sit and wait like other classes.
In PvP the role of the cleric is absolutely essential. If you are in a big group or guild, you will need one of these guys, they are essential in keeping your group alive. A group with a cleric will almost certainly win if they are healing the crucial members of your group. However, the fact that a cleric can make or break your group, you are likely to be the first target of the enemy, watch out for enemy sniping archers, they will be wanting to take you out first so your group collapses.
In conclusion the cleric is a good class, as long as you enjoy healing people and looking after them in pvp, and most group combat. You can still solo, and the best part of being this class is that you are 99% chance of being accepted into a group because you are so essential for a good hunt
Anyway, enjoy the class and have fun. :)

Some of the spell effects look amazing :)
